DISCOVER THE JOURNEY - NOHAD MANSOUR IDF SOLDIER AND SPEAKER
After I was released from the army, I decided to come to Canada to visit my family, and I became aware of the ignorance and misinformation in Canada. This led me on a journey to speak up for the Israeli cause, to explain our reality especially as a minority member in Israel, and to try and correct misconceptions about our religion and country.
As an Israeli Druze Arab IDF Soldier, I’m on an important mission to show the world how Druze and Jews co-exist in Israel. My life and service demonstrate how we’re actually co-existing with the Jewish Israeli majority. My story begins as a young Druze boy studying in Jewish Israeli schools in Haifa, follow my family tradition to join the Israeli Paratroopers, that lead to my injury during my mandatory service and volunteering back into service on October 7 and return to Gaza to support and fight with my IDF unit, to now struggling with PTSD.
