ShinShinim Mimouna: A Sephardic Passover Tradition of Sweetness, Tradition and Joy
Sunday, 6 April, 2025 • 8 Nisan 5785
5:00 PM - 7:00 PMBeth Tikvah SynagogueMimouna is a joyful celebration marking the end of Passover, primarily observed by Sephardic Jews, especially those of Moroccan heritage. It begins the evening after Passover ends and is all about welcoming luck, prosperity, and togetherness. Traditionally, families open their homes to friends and neighbours, offering tables full of sweets and special foods to symbolize abundance. The most famous treat is mufletta, a thin, pancake-like pastry served warm with butter, honey, and jam. The celebration is filled with music, dancing, and a spirit of hospitality, making it a vibrant and welcoming experience for all!
Come join us as we celebrate with cooking and eating mufletta and so much more!
