About Modern Board Games:
I'm Daniel and I am running these board game nights. If you want something different to do on a Saturday night, I welcome you to join us! We have a good assortment of games--probably ones you've never played before. They will get your brain thinking differently and the challenge is addictive!
These aren't the same kind of games as Monopoly, Sorry, Trouble, Snakes & Ladders, etc. Those games rely heavily on random luck and dice rolls.
Many modern board games let the players make decisions that give them more control over the outcome of the game. These games are designed for adults and are much more interesting and fun to play than "the old games".
The games we will be playing offer a lot of variability so that each game played will be a different experience. You may need to change your strategy based on what other players are doing. What makes it fun is the player interaction and the way the games are designed to be easy to learn and satisfying to play.
If you want to see a preview of what some of these games are like, I recommend visiting YouTube and search for "Watch it Played" and the name of whatever game interests you. There are many excellent videos there by Canadian, Rodney Smith. I watch his videos to help me decide which board games I might want to add to my growing collection!
Also...feel free to come a bit earlier at 7PM to join the Youth & Young Family for Havdallah and Ice Cream:
