JULY 18: Cary Fagan is the author of nine novels and five story collections including "The Student" (finalist for the Governor General's Award), "Great Adventures for the Faint of Heart" (winner of the Canadian Jewish Literary Award), and "A Bird's Eye" (finalist for the Writers' Trust Fiction Award).  He is also an acclaimed writer of books for children, having won the Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award and the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People among other prizes.  His books have been translated into sixteen languages.  He still lives in his hometown of Toronto.

Great Adventures for the Faint of Heart won the 2022 Canadian Jewish Literary Award for Best Fiction.
