6:00 PM - 8:00 PMBeth Tikvah Synagogue

The Faces Of Israel We Came To Know During ‘Iron Sword'
We will meet individuals who evoke a sense of awe. Israel’s youth has distanced themselves from the ‘ME’ generation. Mourning parents and families of hostages will leave us in a state of disbelief. A remarried widow will share what it is like to simultaneously love two men. What motivates a reservist to volunteer to sacrifice his life and leave his family behind? Another face will be the Haredim and the IDF. It has been said that our children deserve Certificates of Excellence for dealing with this year as they have. We will meet them and others.

Bracha Feder has shared her passion for learning and teaching with teens, adults and teachers for years. She holds an M.A. in Jewish Thought and Education from the Hebrew University. She was Instructor of Ethics in Jewish Living for the Florence Melton Adult Mini School of the Hebrew University in Toronto for 12 years.

Currently, she offers Synagogue Adult Education courses on topics such as Jewish Thought, Tanakh, Tefillah, Shabbat and Holy Days. Since moving to Jerusalem, Bracha has taught in the Oded Adult Education Program and for Parashat Hashavua study groups.
