1:00 PM - 2:00 PMRenee Birnbaum’s house

Are you passionate about knitting or crocheting? Would you like to make a difference in someone's life?

Come join Mitzvah Knitters!

It's a chance to socialize, be creative and make something that will be donated to people in need. All skill levels are welcome! We'll have a great time chatting, learning some knitting tips and getting the chance to be a part of an amazing group.

This is an ongoing group that meets twice a month (when it's not covid) and sometimes virtually using Zoom.

We make everything from baby blankets, hats, chemo caps, premie caps...and all of our creations go to people in seniors homes, Baycrest, Ve'ahavta, UJA's baby give back program, shelters, hospitals and more. We even made over 8000 ear savers, the straps that make it more comfortable on your ears to wear covid masks.

We are always ready to welcome new members so contact Renee and Elaine at mitzvahknitters@gmail.com to get started.

Even if you don't knit, you can donate funds or knitting supplies (yarn, needles, patterns, etc) to help support our program. Please consider a donation, it keeps our program going and helps provide more knitted donations to our community members in need.

Tax receipts are available for monetary donations.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
